On Working With Artists…

IMG_20151104_122048

Although we’re primarily a custom picture framing business, we do have a wonderful gallery space and amazing street presence which is perfect for displaying art. We pride ourselves that we work with a select group comprised of mostly Denver artists and that we can help showcase their amazing work!

We often have artists ask what the process would be to get their work displayed in our gallery. There are a couple factors that go into this decision:

The first factor is simply whether or not we feel the artwork would be a good fit in our store. Being that we’ve been here in LoDo since 2004, we have a pretty good idea of what our clientele will like, and what they won’t. Over the years we have typically found that our customers respond very well to Denver related artwork.

The second factor, and truly the most important, is the professionalism of the artists we work with. We have great relationships with local artists such as Michael Wais, Alex Benison, Matthew McEwan, Marlene Feinholz, J.C. Smith, John Cox and Gabe Leonard out of Los Angeles. All have been an absolute pleasure to work with. Unfortunately, we have had the unpleasant experience of working with a few bad apples over the years. It is of the utmost importance to us that the artists we work with represent themselves, and us, in a positive and professional manner. Fortunately, we have learned from those experiences and since that time we have been very selective about who we choose to work with.

If you are a local artist and would like to see if your artwork would be a good fit at FastFrame of LoDo, email us at fastframelodo@gmail.com!
