Turning tiny shoes into a big-time keepsake!
We had a lot of fun creating this custom shadowbox featuring a pair of children’s classic Nike Cortez shoes. Rather than simply displaying the shoes, we carried the iconic Nike design throughout the entire piece.
The shoes are mounted against rich red suede, where we debossed the Nike Swoosh directly into the matting for a subtle tone-on-tone effect. We then cut individual Nike Swooshes from blue suede and incorporated them into the white suede-lined sides of the shadowbox for an extra custom touch.
Finished with museum glass and a black shadowbox frame, this is a great example of how meaningful childhood keepsakes can become a one-of-a-kind piece of art.
