Custom Framed Etching by George Elbert Burr

Custom Framed Etching by George Elbert Burr

Timeless artwork deserves timeless framing.

We recently had the pleasure of custom framing this beautiful original etching by American artist George Elbert Burr (1859–1939). Known for his incredibly detailed landscapes and masterful printmaking, Burr’s work captures the quiet beauty and strength of the natural world.

For this conservation framing project, we selected an elegant cream mat with a subtle dark accent mat to make it pop, paired with a classic black frame featuring a gold liner—creating a design that complements the etching without competing with it. As always, we used acid-free materials and UV-protective glazing to help preserve this piece for generations to come.

Whether it’s a museum-quality etching, a family heirloom, or your favorite piece of art, trust 5280 Custom Framing to create a design that’s as timeless as the artwork itself!
